Secret Provence Cote d'Azur

must be a lover like me, especially France and South-East corner known as the French Riviera. If you have not, but just curious, so I hope to give you information that you will be excited enough to want to visit for the first time, or explore a little deeper.

As you will know, back in Provence Côte d'Azur and the Mediterranean Sea.

In 1975 I went on a business trip (in those days that was a trip by car) and I drove through France on my way to Italy to the beautiful city of Bergama. I was a young man, I had a small business that is all I had to treat myself to a brand new Triumph Stag Convertible. What a difficult question, I must have looked like from the top down and the steam coming out of the radiator. Triumph Stag was notorious for overheating and 1000 miles was just a little too far for a brand new car.

Little did I know what I was pleased for my way. I decided to 'stop off' in Nice and Cannes. Back in those days traffic was not as difficult as it is today, and despite the problems of overheating it was a pleasure to drive 1000 miles or so from home to Nice. That was in January and I was wrapped in a heavy coat. I was staggered to see the beaches in January as people swimming and sunbathing and girls sunbathing topless on. It is a discovery that came from England, as you might imagine. I went to Italy and drove back through the Dolomites and I found myself in 3 feet of snow. Indeed the area of contrasts.

Since that time, I was a regular visitor until 2004, when I decide to buy a lot of pride in a house in Provence. This is a really huge part of the world and with today's air, road and sea connections are very accessible place and I would say is still a very safe place.

Why do not you come with me on a journey to discover the true joy and miracles. We will take the Cote d'Azur with its wonderful home Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez and more.

Weather can be very diverse in this time of year, with cold nights and bright sunny day, and some welcome rain. As I write this article, it was about 15 degrees, but the average temperature directly at the sun is 25 degrees Celsius, falling to three to five degrees at night.

It could be that you and your friends or family, such as walking. In spring, many fossils have been washed from the rocks on the hills, the air is wonderful, and you feel alive. Hinterland is interesting and rewarding area for hikers, but the Provencal coast becomes more and more popular

SUMMER

The picture above was taken at Lac St. Croix, which is man-made lake that is a story all its own. During the summer the water is warm and there are many activities. The lake is full of melting snow coming through the gorges of the Verdon. Water eventually turned into drinking water through the hydro electric dam.

Here is a letter that describes a very nice atmosphere in the summer

"Dear Mom and Dad ... I really wish you were here, the temperature is around 28 degrees, and we swam in our own pool today.

Did you know that lavender is not only essential oil used in perfumes, but is grown in gardens to ward off any stray mosquitoes? We learn something new every day on the field and so relaxing. I've been reading "Year in Provence" by Peter Mayle, you remember right, John Dissolve the television series - it's true every word. It is so easy to slip on the French way of life.

Oh! By the way, did you know that the law is here that the bread must be baked seven days a week? This is truly a wonderful trip on the morning of the hunt breakfast in the charming village of Régusse.

We visited yesterday Grasse - the flower fields and perfumeries. The whole area smells vibrant and heady with different scents.

Dad, you have to see Monaco, it's beautiful and breathtaking. We went to the casino, but Jackie Stewart was not there today, never mind maybe next time.

We are driving back through the Cap Ferrat, you will remember David Nivan will not

?

Many stars have their place here. I believe Roger Moore still has a place outside of Grasse, and where he goes back to that way too. I hope we can find it. Tonight we go to the local village to join in the fun, and I believe tonight your Elvis

!

Tomorrow will be the most famous place of St Tropez. We could go by car, but we are told that the best way to see the bay from St Maxime to go on a boat which leaves every 30 minutes it avoids the traffic and there are great views as we cross. St Tropez is the place to be seen, all the beautiful people hang out here and the way is apparently nude beach ... What about that? We will sit in the front and watch the artist paint, and soak up the sun. Private boats are spectacular, and I've said very often you see a celebrity or two.

PS. You must come with us next time, I'll probably end up sad and relax once in the pool. They drink cold Rose here. See you soon "

Well I hope to put you in a relaxed mood, trying to catch as it is in this part of the world. So far untouched part of the world.

WINTER

You May not have imagined in the south of France for the winter, but we can assure you that the time in these areas is usually sunny in the day with acceptable temperatures and cold night. They have to have rain at times and that seems to occur in October and November in the capital.

In this time of year and formally flora changes with unusual colors. the roads are empty and the countryside is all yours.

Mediterranean resort towns are quiet, and you're within driving distance from the mountain region for skiing. If you do not feel that energy, then just relax. Read a book or while away the day creating that painting you've always wanted to create, and never got round to it.
